UNCF Scholarship Program

Job Description:
The Douglas Palmer – Trenton /UNCF Scholarship Program was initiated by the Honorable former Mayor Douglas H. Palmer who is dedicated to providing financial assistance to students from Trenton city attending a UNCF member college or other HBCUs. The Honorable former Mayor Douglas H. Palmer of Trenton City, NJ has raised dollars to support students from the city of Trenton in their scholarly pursuit.

Eligibility Details:
Eligible students will receive $3000 scholarship award. The award will be based on unmet needs and will be renewed in the subsequent undergraduate years.

Furthermore, for award consideration, candidates must submit:

1. Recent official transcript – Must be mailed to UNCF by the program deadeline.

2. A letter of recommendation – Must be uploaded to the application by the program deadline. Please go to recommenders’ section for details.

3. Essay – Must be uploaded to the application by the program deadline. Please go to the essay section for details.
Students must also have a history of involvement with community or church activities in the city of Trenton, NJ.
*Renewals will not be automatic. All prior year recipients must re-apply for the renewals of their scholarships.
